Freaky Friday: Halloween Edition

It's Halloween Weekend! Yay!

This will be the freakiest of all weekends...and not necessarily in a good way!

But while you're hitting up all the costume parties or taking the kids trick or treating, don't neglect the freaky moments you can have on your own with your partner! Become a sexy super hero, a pirate or just be a nudist (but I encourage picking a costume for fun!)

Even if you're not into Halloween, take the opportunity to do a little role playing or something out of the ordinary. I'm sure your partner will be pleasantly surprised. So while all the freaks sworm the streets you can avoid them and keep all your freakiness in between the sheets (it ryhmed I couldn't help myself)! But while on that note keep your swipes lovin wipes near by...you're going to need it!

But whatever you choose to do, stay safe and steer clear of the weirdoes.

Peace, Lovin, Swipes!

What do you know about the wet wipes you use?

Adult_wet_wipes

Did you know that most wet wipes are made out of plastic...hence why you can't flush them! And the "flushable" ones you buy in the super market may only be flushable because the size is right but not because they disperse like toliet paper!

Well Swipes is the FIRST natural, eco-friendly Wipe! We're biodegradable, compostable, dispersible thus TRULY FLUSHABLE! And we don't have all those harsh chemicals either!

We launched our first product,Swipes Lovin Wipes® a year ago and have had nothing but great reviews and testimonials since.

Oh Sex...why are you still a mystery?

It's another good ole Freaky Friday and the Sexy and Green blog is bringing you Sex Myths debunked!

Sex_myths

Sex is one of the most natural parts of life. Almost everyone will do it at some point in their life, so why is it still so mysterious? By the time you're in middle school you're already listening to the other kids spitting out all their "expert" sex advice, which is pretty unreliable. No need to admit it now but you carried some of that advice onto High school and even college!  And that's where it all began--the allegations and the misconstrued facts of sex. Who has it better, what feels good where...yata yata. But today I've put together a list, with the help of Women’s Health Mag, of some of the most talked about sexual myths and it's time for them to be debunked. Ready?

  1. Size Matters! We have been lead to believe that the size of a man’s penis is what matters most in sexual encounters but believe or not, this is not the case!  "It's a myth that using the penis is the main way to pleasure a woman," says Ian Kerner, PhD, a sex and relationships counselor in New York City whose book She Comes First offers a guide to "female orgasms and producing them through inspired oral techniques." In his book, Kerner cites a study that reports women reaching orgasm about 25% of the time with intercourse, compared with 81% of the time during oral sex. But still to this day, men are trying to figure out how to enlarge their "man piece!" Come on guys remember "It's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean."
  2. Men Reach Their Sexual Peak at 18, and Women Reach Theirs at 28: No, your sex lives aren't doomed to be perpetually out of sync. Men's testosterone levels peak around 18, but hormones are only one small factor in male sexual performance, says Marc Goldstein, M.D., a professor of reproductive medicine and urology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. And women have no set peak. If you and your partner need to sync up your libidos, agree to take turns initiating sex every few days. "Sex at least once a week is like vitamins for a relationship," says sex therapist Ian Kerner, Ph.D., founder of GoodInBed.com. And the more you do it, even if you're not in the mood at first, the more you'll want to.
  3. Men Can't Have Multiple Orgasms The idea that guys get only one shot (so to speak) at orgasm comes from mistaking ejaculation for climax, says Kerner. While your guy does have physical limitations on how quickly he can produce and release sperm, he can still experience repeated peaks of arousal while doing the deed. The trick is to bring him this close to climaxing and then ease off so that he feels the toe-curling contractions of orgasm without ejaculating. "Ask him to tell you when he's about to go over the edge, then gently squeeze the head of his penis to pull him back," says Kerner. "Focus on kissing or stroking another part of his body for 30 seconds—long enough for him to cool down a bit, but not long enough for him to lose his erection—then start up again." Repeat until he begs for mercy.
  4.  It's Impossible to Get Pregnant When You Have Your Period "You can get pregnant at any stage of your menstrual cycle—even on the day you expect your period to start," says Sherman Silber, M.D., director of the Infertility Center in St. Louis. Sperm can live inside the body for up to a week, so if you have sex during your period and then ovulate shortly after, his little swimmers could still be hanging around, ready to make sexy time with an egg when it arrives.

Green Tip Tuesday: Baking soda is good for the skin

Bakingsoda

Hey everyone it's Green Tip Tuesday and I have something for you that is cheap and you probably already own---baking Soda! Many people use baking soda to absorb smells in their fridge, clean clothes, and teeth. But did you know that baking soda is not only good for cleaning the house and clothes but also great for your body inside and out?

Baking soda cleans the skin quite well and some, who are sensitive to chemicals (often found in our shower gels and shampoos) have used baking soda to wash their bodies and their hair! And get this it'll clean your shower all at the same time! lol

The very powerful baking soda is also good for you. If you add a little to your water once a day it will give off more oxygen to the body, helping you fight off illness and disease. Believe it or not but diseases can't live in a oxygenated body. Some will argue baking soda can even help cure cancer! Do your own research. But if you choose to drink it, use Bob's Red Mill baking Soda...its aluminum free and you can find it at Whole Foods--that's what I use!

Have a great Tuesday!
