Sexual Fantasies are good for you

Fantasy
Dream on ladies and gentlemen, there’s nothing wrong with a little fantasizing…it’s a natural part of life. The sexiest part of the human body is in the brain and these fictional thoughts are the quickest and most assured routes to sexual arousal. Think about it, we use our imagination all the time. We envision all the possible futures that are daily life could result in. We change our thought pattern if negativity sets in to turn our days around or let it get the best of us by over analyzing all the negative possibilities. Yet when it comes to the mystery of sexual thoughts, some of us keep that door locked.

Allowing yourself to free your mind and explore your sexual fantasies by yourself or with your partner is one of the most common acts we share as human beings according to Care2.com. In fact, in recent studies on sex in American the majority of women and men have reported having fantasies while having sex. Most tie fantasy-having to a more male related activity, although recent studies have shown women partake heavily in the imagination at play. “The more sexual fantasies they have, the more sexual desire they experience.” However, some women tend to feel more guilt related to fantasies especially if they are in committed relationship.

Fantasies are exactly what they are…fantasies. Your sexual fantasies can help you and your partner keep things alive. Share your thoughts together and who knows maybe it can lead to a little role playing which is always fun! Just remember to communicate your comfort level and boundaries. And if not keep them to yourself, that’s ok too. Mounting research suggest that the allowing yourself to entertain those thoughts increases the health of sexual arousal and desire.

Green Tip Tuesday

Green tip Tuesday:

Hey everyone today’s Green Tip is to make everything old new again.  There are so many things you could do with products you don’t have “use” for anymore. For starters, you know the saying “one person’s junk is another’s treasure!” Always remember there’s probably someone out there that could use what you have and if you think it’s invaluable be innovative and think of creative ways to recycle it. Here are a few simple tips:

Jugs

  • Reuse and be creative: Take the picture above, old water containers can become garden pots for veggies and plants. It can be a great rainy day activity or a great way to get you out in teh garden.  You could completely reuse items and have them take on a new life! Think about it, be creative. Here’s an article to spark a few ideas!
  • Share appliances with your neighbors. You probably have a have appliances use every once in a blue moon. Why not initiate an appliance sharing program in your neighborhood…that way you’ll save money, have new storage space, and promote good will in the community!
  • Have a yard sell—make a little extra cash, do a little bartering, or even give the proceeds to a local charity!  Invite your neighbors to get involved and make one large yard sale.  Less signs and more involvement is a green way to go and builds a sense of community.
  • Donate to your local non-profit thrift store. There is always someone, somewhere that has a need for what you don’t. So team up with Good Will, the Salvation Army or your local thrift store and help them help someone in need!  The change of seasons is a great time to rotate your wardrobe for what you will eb wearing as it gets colder.  Look through your closet and see what you did not use in the past seasons, take it out and donate it.
  • Plan for the holidays, don't forget that with the holidays approaching charities will be looking for donations.  Remiond your freinds and neighbors to set aside non-perishable food donations for the food drives.  And toys in good condition that are no longer in use in your house can be a less fortunate child's favorite toy.

Peace, Lovin, Swipes!

Freaky Friday: Top 3 mistakes Women make when it comes to Sex

In this day and age women are the epitome of multitaskers---between work, appointments, taking care of the kids, nurturing relationships with their partner, family, and friends; we get a little lost in our ways.  And sometimes it affects our committed relationship and of course the sex that’s involved. As women we have a tendency to be emotionally in tuned, we’re sensitive; concerned about timing and our appearances! But today, I’m sharing with you a few tips I got from yourtango.com, these are the top 3 mistake women make when it comes to sex:

  1. You worry (too much) about what you look like:

Sometimes it’s hard, you can’t help but to want to look like all those airbrushed women on your man’s calendar or Maxim magazines…they look so…perfect. Reality check, they are not. They have the imperfections but the power of photo shop is amazing. Stop comparing, he’s with you for a reason—embrace that. You’re beautiful because you’re you. Stand in front of the mirror naked and remind yourself of your natural beauty. You’re more likely the one obsessing…he’s not. Focus in your connection in life and sex. Leave low self esteem out of the equation.

  1. You don’t initiate Sex:

Many women just don’t feel comfortable being the initiator. Society has convinced us it’s the male’s job. Well ladies times have changed! According to Askmen.com, 54% of men initiate sex and 76% of them revealed they initiate sex because they want to feel closer to their partner. So maybe it’s time we show them we want to be closer too and take action! But here’s a little side rule to consider: when you take initiation into consideration, do it subtly or go all out with heels and lingerie but the last thing a guy wants is nagging and desperation--even if sex is involved, it’s just not a sexy trait. So if you’ve never initiated here’s your chance GO FOR IT! In a recent Freaky Friday post we talked about “How to seduce a man” check that article out and get some tips (actions may vary depending on types of relationships).

  1. You don’t guide him:

Talking about sex can be awkward and uncomfortable…but it’s important to discuss your likes, dislikes, and physicals needs the same as you do for anything else in a relationship! Don’t be shy; chances are he’ll be turned on by your confidence and guidance. In the words of yourtango.com “Let’s be the G.P.S (Gathering Pleasure Sensor) for our partners.” Take him for a tour!

Cell phone or Sex...which would you chose?

I came across this article and found the results quite interesting..look for yourself:

Survey Finds One-Third of Americans More Willing to Give Up Sex Than Their Mobile Phones

TeleNav survey examines Americans' attachment to mobile phones; finds iPhone users are least willing to let go of their devices

Info-graphic: Phone Wars

Sunnyvale, California — August 3, 2011 — Results of a recent national survey* commissioned by TeleNav, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNAV) indicate that Americans are willing to give up some of life's greatest pleasures in order to hang on to their mobile phones. Not surprisingly, smartphone users were more attached to their devices than were feature phone users, with iPhone users leading the pack. In fact, iPhone users were more likely than their Android or BlackBerry counterparts to spend a week without their significant other, exercise or shoes—rather than go a week without their phone.

While 22 percent of all respondents said they would rather give up their toothbrush than their phone for a week, this number jumped to a whopping 40 percent among iPhone users. Halitosis and other priority quirks aside, 83 percent of iPhone users thought other iPhone users would make the best romantic partners.

Even among feature phone users, however, TeleNav's survey showed respondents' strong attachment to their mobile phones. Nearly half of all respondents said they sleep with their phone next to them, including 38 percent of feature phone users and 66 percent of smartphone users.

From differences between iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry users to the snap judgments people make based on the type of phone someone carries, TeleNav's latest survey sheds light on just how important mobile phones have become in Americans' lives.

Tip: Green Your workout

Hey everyone it's "Green Tip Tuesday" and we want you to know that earth friendly changes aren’t just in what you purchase or what you eat! Working out is another lifestyle area where you can make these changes. Here are a few easy tips that will help reserve our earth and save you a little green in your wallet!

Green_workouts

  • Go Outside! Use the natural landscape for your resistance and up hill climb! Bike, hike, and run all while saving energy used at gym. Plus you’re saving on your gym membership!
  • Walk, bike, or Carpool to your local gym. If you’re going to use the gym, then consciously think of a way to green-it up. If you live within a mile or so of the gym then walk, run, or bike it. You’re going to do it anyway when you get there! Think of it as a way to cut your warm-up or cardio time out and focus on weight-training. Or see if any of your friends or neighbors attend your gym and make a date out of it! Carpooling helps you save on CO2 emissions and gas!
  • Workout Attire: Choose organic cotton, bamboo, or hemp.
  • Say No to one-time use bottles. Plastic is a waste, period. So invest in a reusable bottle. $3 bucks and you’ll always have a bottle handy to fill up anywhere. It’s worth the investment—monetarily and environmentally.
  • Recycle your shoes. A trainer once told me, you should change your running/walking shoes every 3-6 months, with that being said that’s several shoes per year and you no longer have a use for them! Well Nike wants to create a new life for those shoes with their Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Program. Worn out shoes are used to build new tracks, basketball and tennis courts. Now that’s building sustainability! http://www.nikereuseashoe.com/

Stay Sexy and Green

Freaky Friday: How to seduce a man!

Women have you ever wondered of the ways to seducing a man? Is the man in your life taking to long and/or is just not seducing you lately? Sometimes the “I-need-it-right-now” hormones kick-in and it's time to take action! Here are a few tips on how to get the job done. It’s the weekend try it out.

Seduce_a_man

  1. Choose the place: Location! Location! Location! This is a very important step. Don’t start seducing in a crowded sports bar unless you’re looking for a quickie! (Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!) But if you’re looking to set a more romantic vibe, eliminate distractions—you want his full attention. Start seducing over a private dinner or anywhere with a romantic ambiance. I know its cliché…but a little candlelight and soft music go a long way!
  2. The Importance of Scents: Eddie Corbano of loveagame.com says, “The scent is one of the most powerful subconscious influences that affect our judgments!” Ok but that that doesn’t mean over do it with the perfume ladies! Since we like to keep it natural here at the Sexy and Green blog…try using aromatherapy oils—rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, cinnamon, rosewood, etc. All these oils are also aphrodisiacs so it’s a win win.
  3. Show a little...but not too much! Leave a little to the imagination(if you're on the date portion) …slutty is out! Find a compromise between showing and hiding your womanly qualities. Enhance certain body parts without showing them off! (But once you’re in the bedroom…all bets are off and lingerie is highly favored!)
  4. Confidence is key: Know what you want and how to get it. Don’t be scared. Key thing is don’t over do-it…you don’t want to come off as arrogant. Just be confident in your skin and who you are…and that will shine.
  5. Flirt: Use some non-verbal ques—play with you hair, touch him ever so slightly, face him directly and lean over just a bit, or even wet and bite your lips from time to time. But once again…don’t over do it! Too much could come off a bit weird or even creepy.
  6. Play hard to get: This one will probably work better if you’re single and trying to seduce a stranger or someone you’re dating. Leave a feeling of anticipation, don’t look desperate. Word of caution: don’t be so stand-offish where you really seem not interested! Balance…always remember the balance!
  7. The looks: (this step is more if you’re out in public) the power of attraction is also in the eyes. Sidelong glances and quick turn aways show interest. If you find that you’re both doing it…then it’s anyone’s game.

All in all just go for it…flirt and initiate but don’t be too desperate and pushy. Men also like to think they actually seduced you…let them think it but we know the truth!  ;-)

Happy Friday!

Oh Burning Man...we appreciate you!

So Swipes got a lot of feedback from people that participated in Burning Man this year (a annual artsy-hippie celebration of sorts) and although we weren't able to physically be there, I think our Swipes Lovin Wipes helped a lot of people stay fresh and comfortable. Reid Mihalko, sex and relationship expert, gave a few appropriate recommendations for all of you who are thinking of participating in next years event! And of course your Swipes were included in the great recommendation! But after looking at a few photos...I can see why they came in handy!

Burning_man

Check out what Reid had to say:

With great power comes great responsibility… Radical responsibility!
The BurningManArtsFestival in Black Rock City, Nevada, is host to some of the most free-spirited, artsy, and sex-positive people on the planet, as well as extreme partying conditions!

Daytime temps on the Playa regularly exceed 100-degrees; 20-70 mph, white-out condition dust storms are common place (bring goggles!); and nights often dip near freezing… Such conditions can wreak havoc on the human body (stay hydrated!), not to mention your sex toys !

As a safer sex geek who’s played plenty at BM over my five-tours of dusty duty, and as one of the proud founders of Camp Beaverton for Wayward Girls (the playa’s largest, queer women’s camp and host of the infamous “Strap-On-A-Thon,” the largest, women-identified-only play party on the Playa), I’ve got lots to say when it comes to healthy, fulfilling, safe sex on the playa!

Freaky Friday: Use honey!

Honey

It's national honey month. Yes, there is such a thing. Honey is a wonder food, it has many great uses--from eating it (helps speeds the metabolism) to moisturizing your skin, honey is a natural healer! But today is Freaky Friday so you can only imagine what I would suggest you do with such an item!

It's a little sticky and very sweet (always a good combination) so use it on your partner and tell them it's in celebration of National Honey Month! It's a quick, easy, and cheap way to spice up your love life tonight :)

And of your course you're going to need your Swipes Lovin Wipes handy for this one!

Have fun!

Fashion's Night Out was fabulous!

We had a lot of fun at Fashion's Night Out at the Adventura Mall in Miami, FL!

We saw great fashion shows and even got to meet a few Real Housewives! Jill Zarin from the "The Real Housewives of NYC" hosted the Macy's fashion presentation!

And we ran into Adriana De Moura from "The Real Housewives of Miami"--she loved her Swipes Lovin Wipes!

Enjoy today, kiss your partner passionately or whoever you want! But for strangers, just make sure your disclaimer is, "It's national kiss day for crying out loud!" I'm sure that will work ;-)

For fun...what's your favorite Hollywood Movie kiss? Tell us on our fan page! We'd love to know!

9 Tools For Dancing In The Desert At Burning Man

Burning Man was a little over a week ago and Brent Rose from Gizmodo created 9 tools you need for attending...and guess who made the list?(Hint # 5)

Ah, Burning Man. It’s art meets music meets dirt meets naked meets f**king amazing. As a two-time burner myself (who is sadly missing it this year) I can personally guarantee that this gear will maximise your awesome.

1.El Wire

Being bright and glowy at burning man isn’t just to make your dancing trippier, it’s absolutely mandatory at night time. People are tearing around on bikes and art cars and you absolutely need to be visible. No joke, people have died. You’ll see a lot of disposable glowstick-like jewellery, but that’s like making an ecological snuff film (MOOP!). El wire (electoluminescent wire) is awesome. It’s bright, reusable, and you can make amazing costumes out of it like the one you see above. It’s all over eBay and the internet, but this guy charges less than $US1.50/foot (depending on the gauge) and gives a burner discount.

N.B. Check out Scoochmaroo’s instructions for making the amazing above costume at Instructables.

2.A Real Shower

Yes, the desert is very hot during the day, but Black Rock City is pretty high up, and as soon as the sun goes down it gets cold in a hurry. You want to shower off from the day’s romping so you don’t smell like butt when you head out to find love on the dance floor, but when it’s cold out a cold shower sucks. Instead, hang up a solar shower like Sea to Summit’s Pocket Shower in the morning, and by the time the sun sets it will be piping hot. If you don’t have anything to hang it off of just get a friend to hold it for you while you shower. I know that sounds weird, but hey, it’s Burning Man. $US30 at REI.

3.Dust-Proof Camera

You want to capture some images from the burn? Well that alkaline dust is mighty fine; it will get all up in your camera and screw it up good an proper. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 is dust-proof, drop-proof (up to a 2m), and waterproof up to a whopping 12m! Not only that, it’s fairly compact and it takes really nice pictures. If you want a point-and-shoot camera for Burning Man and other rough and tumble activities, it doesn’t get any better than this one. $US300 at B&H.

4.Port-a-Penis

Here’s one for the ladies. Fact: You will have to pee at Burning Man. Fact: You may be far away from the nearest outhouse when you have to pee, and/or the outhouse may be nasty. Fact: You probablydon’t enjoy pissing on yourself or your clothes. While there is a camp that will give you a Dixie Cup with a small hose attached, I’d recommend the more ergonomic design of the Sani-Fem Freshette Feminine Urinary Director. It’ll give you a way to discreetly take a whiz without getting it all over yourself. Just remember not to take your leak in places where people are likely to walk (i.e. do it in a port-a-potty or in the middle of the playa). $US23 at REI.

5.Sex Wipes

Hoping to get laid at Burning Man? You’re not alone, my friend. Unfortunately, the hot, dry, and dusty environment isn’t particularly friendly to your nether bits and you’re going to want to give them a good once-over pre and post bonage. Swipes Lovin Wipes are designed specifically for such endeavours. Mild, yet thorough and refreshing, just like your privates want them to be. $US6 at Good Vibrations.

Freaky Friday: The art of Foreplay (tips for the men)

Foreplay

Everyone loves a little...or a lot of foreplay from time to time. Most women would agree, that it IS the prelude to any intimate experience. I've gathered up the best tips and tricks I could find (big thanks to askmen.com)! So Lets begin:

  1. Talk and tease - Yes talk...foreplay starts with words! I don't mean mundane topics, something dirty preferably. Describe how you want to touch her, where, and with which body parts. Women's excitement starts with visualization. The brain is a major sexual organ..use the power of imagination and make her yearn for your words to come to life.
  2. A little PDA...  why not start in public?! Foreplay doesn't always have to start in the bedroom! Nothing crazy but a little kissing and hugging never hurt anyone or maybe an intense make-out sessions in a busy bar or club...heck even the car! It'll just get things flowing in the right direction
  3. Take it off! Strip teases work both ways. Men love it but we, women, can go for one too! Just remember men take off your socks before you begin, according to askmen.com, socks are awkward and nothing turns a woman off faster than seeing a naked man with his socks on! Post socks, start with your shirt, pants, and then underwear. Follow suit by taking her clothes off slowly in the same order in which you took yours off
  4. Touch- At this time use your hands and mouth to explore. Find what makes her tick. Whatever you do take it nice a slow.

P.S this is a great time for Swipes Lovin Wipes ;-)
